PETER BAKEMA – PRESIDENT, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Mr. Bakema has a thirty year track record in successfully creating and developing businesses from the ground up. He has overseen multiple organizations with a human resource development of several hundred employees and contractors. His extensive background in business management, capitalization, and mergers and acquisitions has been combined with years of hands on leadership experience in the  medical device arena. This has given him  the ability to adapt quickly to an ever changing healthcare sector. As the Chairman and CEO of CVR Global for the last eight years, Mr. Bakema is responsible for the direction of CVR Global with an emphasis on a sound business infrastructure that is capable of rapid scalability and regulatory compliance.


TONY ROBINSON, MBA – CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

Mr. Robinson is a passionate entrepreneurial leader with a reputation for winning by repeatedly thinking outside the typical paradigm limitations and producing unique solutions within operational, marketing, and regulatory areas of the medical device world. Mr. Robinson has earned a degree from the University of Michigan, as well as an MBA in Health Care Management. He has been immersed in the day to day workings of CVR Global for the past six years, driving progress across all key clinical and operational functions with an end user and commercialization focus. Previously, Mr. Robinson was involved in managing regulatory activities for another world recognized global medical device manufacturer with over 25,000 products sold across 5 continents.

ALAN LANGSTON – VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Mr. Langston is a graduate of the University of South Florida and has been working within the electronics and technology industry since 1986. His corporate experience and interactions with Fortune 500 companies, as well as mid-sized organizations, have covered a wide and diverse range of markets. Medical, industrial automation, instrumentation, communication and transportation/aerospace are examples of some of the industry segments that he has worked with. His roles and skills range from sales to marketing, large state territories to district team management, business development, channel implementation and management, within both the hardware and software segments of industry. He has concentrated on direct customer relations and been involved in building and promoting the company’s solutions to develops growth and profit strategies.


MICHAEL RHODES – VICE PRESIDENT OF QUALITY SYSTEMS

Mr. Rhodes is a global senior leader with 20 years of quality and business transformation experience in high tech industries. Most recently as Chief Quality Officer and head of Learning Services at Motorola Solutions Inc. He has worked in multiple markets including healthcare, defense, public safety, retail, energy, and manufacturing and has a successful track record of developing agile quality management systems designed to support customer and business operations. Previous business transformation engagements in the US and Europe include Oracle, KPMG and Microsoft Consulting. Prior to his career in quality, Mr. Rhodes was in customer facing roles project managing sea-to-air data link systems for the Royal Navy, computer aided command and control for the British Ministry of Defense, and communication systems for Shell.


tim-knisley TIM KNISLEY – DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Mr. Knisley has over thirty years of experience working for global healthcare companies, namely, Kendall Healthcare, Tyco, Beiersdorf and most recently, as Plant Controller for BSN Medical. Tim has a wide range of experience with FDA regulated manufacturing sites including managing ISO internal audits and CAPA. Tim is also a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt and a graduate of Urbana University.

 
 


Neil DebloisNEIL C. DEBLOIS, J. D. – CORPORATE COUNSEL

Neil DeBlois is a principal in the firm, Law Offices of Neil C. DeBlois, located in Dearborn, Michigan. Neil graduated from the University of Detroit Law School in 1984, giving him 28 years’ experience practicing law, with emphasis on profit and non-profit corporations and general business legal counsel. He has also served as past president of the Downriver Bar Association.

STEPHEN A. DUNN J.D. – GENERAL COUNSEL

Stephen A. Dunn is a partner in the law firm of Emanuel & Dunn in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he has engaged in the private practice of law for thirty years. He received a BA in Business and a BS in Economics from North Carolina State University in 1981 and a JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1984. He practices in areas of state and federal court litigation, complex business and class litigation, employment and real estate law. He has appeared in the State Courts of North Carolina, before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court; in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina, and the Districts of South Carolina and New Jersey; and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Dunn also provides transactional support for regional and national clients in a variety of business and property matters.

KYLE VOS STRACHE, J.D. – IP COUNSEL

Mr. Vos Strache is an experienced IP Attorney with specialization in the sectors of Health Care and Life Sciences. Kyle graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in human biology. He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was the founder and co-¬editor-¬in-¬chief of the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law. During law school, Kyle externed for the Hon. S. James Otero of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Before and during law school, Kyle worked in the biopharmaceutical industry and focused on development and identification of novel gene sequences and primary and secondary metabolites in plant species. Kyle’s research also included analysis of the impact of cortisol in model species.


Paul Blunden
PAUL BLUNDEN M.D. – BOARD OF DIRECTORS, MEDICAL ADVISOR

Dr. Blunden is a board certified physician in obstetrics and gynecology with over twenty years in practice. He is the vice president and partner of a multi-million dollar practice servicing urban, suburban and rural patients. He has also served as a department chairman for a major health system and has been a member of the executive leadership committee focused on fiscal management, quality improvement and recruiting.


                                          W. DOUGLAS WEAVER M.D. – BOARD OF DIRECTORS, MEDICAL ADVISOR

WeaverDr. Weaver is a Past President of the American College of Cardiology, a 40,000-member organization providing education, quality guidelines for care, digital products to monitor performance and advocacy for cardiovascular professionals. He served in the past as Vice President and System Medical Director of Heart and Vascular Services at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, where he worked to align standards of care, and improve quality and financial performance. Currently Dr. Weaver is a consultant and provides services to facilitate physician alignment, enhance clinical operational effectiveness and provide value based care. He also is active in providing services to device and pharma companies in the design, conduct, and monitoring of clinical trials for the development of new therapeutics. He has over 330 publications, most of which are related to drug and device discovery and methods toward improving the care provided to patients with cardiovascular disease.

Mr. von Wellsheim has had an extensive career leading companies from the early start-up phase to all aspects of operations and eventual exits. He has vast experience across such industries as retail, security, education and commercial development. His specific expertise is in financial aspects of business operations.

LARRY CARPENTER – CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mr. Larry Carpenter, CPA, CGMA, is directly responsible for overview of all financial, accounting, and budgetary activities within CVR Global. Through his over 30 years of industry experience he is able to define and develop a financial roadmap that will allow CVR Global to successfully enter the marketplace and overcome unexpected market variations. Currently, Mr. Carpenter is a practicing Certified Public Accountant and is the president of Larry E. Carpenter, CPA, PA in North Carolina.

DANIEL HUGHES – MARKETING

Mr. Hughes has over 40 years of marketing experience working on global and household brands for Fortune Top 10 companies. Past clientele includes Ford, Chrysler, General Motors, Coke and Goodyear. Mr. Hughes has held executive Creative positions with several of world’s largest marketing and advertising firms; including J. Walter Thompson, Bozell, McCann Erickson and Young & Rubicam, as well as the famed industrial and architectural design firm, Ford & Earl. Mr. Hughes’ work has received numerous major marketing and advertising awards. In 2004, Dan founded OPTIMideas LLC, an idea-based communications and design firm. OPTIMideas clientele ranges from technology and new energy enterprises, to automotive components manufacturers and retail services.

MIKE WILBERDING – MARKETING

Mr. Wilberding is a founding partner with the research and strategic consulting firm, Traverse Bay Strategy Group. The focus of the firm is application of a broad set of research tools – designed to assist clients in understanding the dynamics of customer choice, and the construction of preference. His practical experience includes work in customer profiling, product planning, growth strategy, brand construct, and commercial communications. Prior to Traverse Bay Group, Mike spent 20 years with three of the world’s leading advertising agencies: Young & Rubicam, McCann Erickson, and Ogilvy & Mather – working primarily on large complex client assignments, including American Express, Buick, Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, GMC Truck,     IBM, and McDonald’s. His under-graduate studies were in the School of Social Science at Michigan State University with graduate work done at the University of Detroit, Graduate School of Business; the University of Chicago, Graduate Business School, and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

DARREN DAY, J.D. – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mr. Darren Day pursued his undergraduate degree Brigham Young University, which was followed up by attaining a JD/MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill. He worked for NCH – a multinational chemical product manufacturer – as Director of Business Development for Latin America. While in this position, Mr. Day was able to exceed target expectations and realize significant market growth within his area of responsibility. Currently, Mr. Day is a practicing attorney and the Manager/Owner of the Day Law Firm, PLLC in Greenville, North Carolina.
